On behalf of our enterprise client, we are seeking a PMO Manager to own the implementation and management of a Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining project management best practices, fostering collaboration, and driving consistent project delivery outcomes. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, optimizing project workflows, and enhancing project delivery capabilities to support our organization's growth and success. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of project management methodologies, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to inspire and empower cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
  •   Develop and Implement PMO Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive strategy to evolve the PMO function, aligning it with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
  •   Innovate Project Management Practices: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance project management practices, tools, and methodologies, focusing on fostering collaboration, agility, and adaptability within the organization.
  •   Drive Digital Transformation: Champion the adoption of advanced project management technologies, automation, and data analytics to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize project outcomes.
  •   Foster a Culture of Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of learning and improvement within the project teams, encouraging the implementation of lessons learned and knowledge sharing to boost overall project performance.
  •   Develop PMO KPIs and Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project success, track progress, and identify areas for improvement, providing regular reports to senior management.
  •   Lead Project Governance and Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to the organization's governance framework, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, while maintaining a strong focus on risk management and mitigation.
  •   Build and Lead High-Performing PMO Team: Mentor, and guide a team of skilled project managers, coordinators, and analysts, nurturing their professional growth and promoting a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  •   Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and key stakeholders to understand their needs, align project goals, and facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  •   Support Project Portfolio Management: Oversee project portfolio management processes, assisting in project prioritization, resource allocation, and ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.
  •   Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Continuously monitor project management industry trends, tools, and methodologies to recommend relevant updates and adjustments to the PMO strategy.

Education and Experience:
  •   Degree or Diploma in Business, Computer Science or IT related discipline;
  •   10+ years’ experience in IT Project Management and Change Management;
  •   10 years progressive project and program management experience which includes a comprehensive working knowledge of project management and systems development lifecycle methodologies;
  •   Experience establishing/managing a PMO;
  •   Experience managing complex, large capital projects with budgets in excess of $5 Million;
  •   Requires an expert understanding of project and program management methodologies and an ability to develop a service oriented organization to assist respective project teams in achieving company objectives;
  •   PMP Certification / Scaled Agile Certification would be an asset;
  •   Professional training pertaining to project, program, portfolio or change management an asset;
  •   Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and Change Management processes and theory would be an asset.

  •   Good understanding of technologies being utilized for project delivery;
  •   Proven ability to develop and implement policy and to effect change within an organization using knowledge of best practices.
