BH - Senior Software Engineer, Mobile - Permanent (Remote)
On behalf of our award winning FinTech client, Brainhunter Systems is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join their incredible team! In this role, you will leverage deep tech, microservices architecture, serverless computing, cloud-native software, and other cutting-edge technologies. You will have a deep understanding of fundamental architectural and coding design patterns and principles. You will advocate the benefits of these practices with the software engineering team by focusing on delivering a great customer experience and moving forward our digital credential products.
Note: This position is open to candidates located within Canada, operating completely remotely. You must be living and eligible to work within Canada.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Research and develop end-to-end functionalities and innovation using web technology and cloud infrastructures as part of the engineering team
- Continually analyze code for anti-patterns, coach, and improve upon fundamental coding principles and patterns across the engineering team
- Design, develop and maintain highly scalable and extensible products
- Participate in automation, code reviews, pair-programming, and other activities to promote mastery of software engineering practices
- Work with the team to explore new ideas through experimentation, prototypes and fast feedback
- Live, breathe, and work in the Cloud
- Utilize Scrum while working with a diverse team of product owners, architects, DevOps, and solutions engineers to deliver quality products in an Agile environment
- Focus on open standards and open source before seeking a proprietary solution to a problem
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Engineering, Science or related field at an accredited college or university.
- 4+ years of experience in architecting and developing scalable, responsive front-end/UI frameworks web applications utilizing API Platform.
- Demonstrable understanding fundamental design principles and patterns behind scalable, clean architectures
- Extensive experience designing and building scalable, user-centric cross-platform mobile applications using cross-platform technology (e.g. React Native, Flutter, Ionic, PhoneGap, JQuery mobile etc.) and some native components on iOS and Android
- Extensive experience creating testable code, unit and integration test suites, and integrating automated testing platforms
- Self-starter, with the ability to establish goals, metrics, milestones and keep projects on task and strong strategic thinking skills
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps concepts and technologies
- Experience with Docker, and microservice architectures. Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a bonus.
